Spring being the preparation season, gardens and lawns
should be fed in order for them to flourish in the summer
months.
Unfortunately as the ground warms up in spring weeds will
become active and need to be managed.
Garden pests will be more evident in spring and summer
And need to be controlled to protect your gardens new growth.
Lawns will benefit from coring and the spreading of gypsum and
garden beds from mulching to suppress weed growth and retain
moisture in summer.
Any major hedge or shrub renovation should take place early
Spring to allow for recovery before the summer heat sets in.
In the second week of October the African lawn beetle grubs
are active and at this time a 100 day residual spray will prevent
your lawn being eaten out in summer.
